There is another interesting switch in the feud between Ranveer Singh and actor-director Farhan Akhtar. The situation escalated to the point that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees, a Mumbai-based trade union body representing 32 craft associations and more than 500,000 workers across India’s film and television industries, had to step in. On Monday, the union said its members would not work on any project involving Singh until he meets with the organization in person over the dispute, because Singh ignored all notices issued following a complaint filed by Farhan Akhtar last month.
But the new side of the story has revealed that Ranveer Singh tried to smooth things over by offering to work on another film with Farhan Akhtar or with his sister Zoya Akhtar. But the insider who revealed the other angle said the offer was immediately turned down. The same source also said Singh was ready to take up a project chosen by both sides, in a bid to repair the professional bond.
As the insider told ABP Live, “Ranveer offered to do another film, selected mutually by Farhan and Ranveer. Ranveer also offered to do a film with Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar, with whom he has done Gully Boy in the past,” but the situation has now reportedly gone so far that neither Farhan nor Zoya wants to work with Ranveer again.

Since the matter has spread far enough for the media and FWICE to enter the frame, Salman Khan has now taken it upon himself to settle the feud between the two sides. Khan is said to be close to both Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar. He reached out to both sides separately to cool tempers and push for a settlement.
He spoke to Farhan and said that differences in the film business have existed for decades. He also spoke to Ranveer Singh to hear his side of the story. The report further said that both Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar are taking Salman Khan’s advice seriously and are trying to find a solution before the matter grows further.
Despite the mediation effort, the insider said Farhan Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani do not want to move ahead without taking part in the talks themselves as they want to be directly involved.
